I said in my other blog about my plans today. Well, it turned out we did not went to the play ground nearby our house and we went shopping instead. It was a beautiful day today though. I am glad to go out with my family. Too bad I did not have my camera with me and I missed some parts of the day that were sure fun. Instead of going to Walmart, we went to Dollar general so I could buy a binder for my postcard and stamp collection. But I found a good deal for a blazer and a notebook so I bought that too, and my purchase was almost 30 dollars. Anyhow, I thought of taking picture of our lawn that my husband just mowed. And I thought of suggesting? a reading to him from online that some people buy phenphedrine to lose weight in a long term purpose. But he seemed to be contented in just doing more exercise outdoors to burn more fats. Oh well, I? just have to keep on tracking him in his goals so he will be successful in losing weight. He also said that he lost 1 pound last week after he weighed in from his Weight watchers meeting.

Here is some examples of affirmations I use about being grateful: ?I am grateful for the supernatural growth happening today in my business?, I am grateful for having a strong and healthy body?, ?I am grateful for this wonderful universe? and so on. I really hope you are following me with these examples. Again let me repeat, When you are grateful, you attract everything you want faster. The universe wants to give you what you want, just be grateful. The law of attraction works wonders when you are grateful.

Controversial Danish director Lars Von Trier "fully accepts" his ban from the Cannes Film Festival, according to his producer partner.

Organisers of the annual French event declared von Trier a "persona non grata" on Thursday, a day after he shocked reporters and critics at a press conference for his new release Melancholia by rambling on about his German ancestry and admitting he could "understand" Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

He subsequently apologised for his remarks to Cannes officials, who explained that he felt he had "allowed himself to be egged on by a provocation" during the screening.

Von Trier's offer to make amends was not enough to smooth over the scandal and Cannes organisers decided to forbid him from attending any further festivities.

But the moviemaker is "fine" and is taking the ban in his stride, according to his producer Meta Foldager.

Foldager tells the Afp, "Lars accepts whatever the festival directors want to do to punish him. He fully accepts that... it's up to the festival to decide what is good for the festival."

Von Trier's disaster drama Melancholia, which was warmly received by critics at Wednesday's premiere, remains in the running for Cannes' top accolade, the Palme d'Or.

However, the director's controversial remarks have already had a negative impact on the movie - executives at Argentina's Distribution Company Sa, which owns the rights to the film's release in parts of South America, have already cut ties with von Trier and will no longer screen the drama in cinemas.

Mayo Clinic researchers (http://mayoresearch.mayo.edu/mayo/research/) in 2003 started testing all newly diagnosed colorectal cancers in patients under 50. Biopsies of the cancers were sent to pathologists, who conducted Microsatellite Instability (MSI) testing on them. MSI testing looks for certain mutations in genes that repair DNA by testing 10 different DNA markers for irregularities. Patients categorized in the ?high? group for microsatellite instability were offered additional testing for Lynch syndrome and genetic counseling.

Over the five-year study, 210 of 258 newly diagnosed patients under age 50 who underwent colorectal cancer surgery at MCR had the MSI testing. Of those, 13 percent had MSI-H tumors. Overall, 88 percent of the high-risk group had tests, and the protocol caught 11 percent of MSI-H tumors that would have otherwise been missed.

?Probably the most significant result of this research is that it has stimulated our multidisciplinary team of geneticists, pathologists, gastroenterologists and surgeons to develop new clinical pathways that will direct patients at risk to providers experienced with management of Lynch Syndrome,? says Eric Dozois, M.D. (http://www.mayoclinic.org/bio/10114947.html) who has organized the multidisciplinary Young Onset Working Group and is the lead researcher on this project. ?The benefit of this testing to the patient and their family is huge,? says research fellow Rajesh Pendlimari, M.B.B.S. ?If they have Lynch syndrome and will, therefore, be more prone to getting cancer, they can get screened more regularly. Plus, with it being a hereditary condition, family members can also get tested.? As a result of this testing, cancer may be caught earlier and physicians may be more proactive in treatment. The testing should be done before surgery, because a diagnosis may change the course of treatment. Testing after surgery also is beneficial; the knowledge gleaned can affect future care for patients and their families.
