We are no fans of more technology in the classroom. The only reason you need technology in the classroom is to teach technology, like computer programming, spreadsheets, how to build a website, and the like. Computers won't make you a better reader or better at math or chemistry or physics. School districts should stop wasting money on technology and instead spend money on hiring better teachers. Retired British Army officers took the game to England where its rules were developed. It was officially launched in 1873 at the Badminton House, Gloucestershire ? hence the name badminton.

Badminton in the U.S.
The first club in America was the Badminton Club of New York, which was founded in 1878. Badminton?s popularity took off in the 1930s as schools, YMCAs and hundreds of new badminton clubs offered lessons in the game. Its popularity was also spurred in the 1930s due to the avid play of such Hollywood stars as Douglas Fairbanks, James Cagney, Boris Karloff, Dick Powell, Bette Davis and Ginger Rogers.

How badminton compares with other sports
One of the more interesting things about this game is that it is played with a shuttlecock, a projectile with feathers, which causes it to fly differently from the balls used in other sports. The feathers of a shuttlecock create a much higher drag, so that it decelerates much faster than a ball.

While there have never been definitive studies done comparing badminton with other racquet sports, there is a general agreement that it ? especially the singles version ? requires more aerobic stamina than tennis while tennis requires greater upper body and core strength.

It is also generally agreed that the sport definitely requires more explosive athleticism than tennis and a somewhat greater explosive athleticism than squash. It also requires significantly faster reaction times than either squash or tennis.

Another thing that makes this game unique is that it can be played for fun or as serious competition. If you ever see Olympic badminton, you will know what we mean ? it?s incredibly fast paced and requires an amazing athleticism. 1. Mortgage debt is good debt
2. You should always buy stocks because over a long enough period they will always go up
3. Renting is throwing your money away
4. Gold has no real value
5. Diversification means the removal of risk

We could go on, but you get the idea. You could sum up the statements above with the idea that Wall Street wants you and me to put as much money into stocks as possible and to have as large a mortgage as possible. Why? Because our portfolios will generate fees for Wall Street and our mortgage guarantees decades of cash flow to Wall Street and the financial sector. We are their money makers.

So, does this mean you shouldn?t buy stocks, have a mortgage and do anything that Wall Street suggests?? No, but it means you should understand their point of view and how you result in making them money.? Then, make your decisions with that in mind.

Only you care about your money. You need to get up to speed enough on investing and other areas of finance to make your own, objective decisions and filter out the nonsensical axioms of American finance. All advice out there usually comes with an agenda attached, so make sure you understand how that agenda is influencing that advice.

Read everything you can get your hands on.? Learn the markets.? Learn how various investments react in different economic times.? Read some more.? Make your own decisions.? Be objective.
