1 dies, 4 missing as Chinese ship ?accidentally rams? Philippine boat

MANILA, Philippines ? Four of eight fishing men were missing after a Chinese vessel allegedly bumped a Filipino fishing boat anchored in a ?payaw? or artificial fish sanctuary in Pangasinan Saturday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported.

The four fishermen missing in Bolinao were identified as Fred Celino, Arnold Garcia, Domy delos Santos and Amante Resonable.

Meanwhile, the four rescued by Magsingal police were Edimio Balmores, Herman Balmores, Celino Damian, and a certain Christopher.

The boat owner of the fishing boat Axl John received a call from the boat operator, who reported the incident, the NDRRMC said.

The rescued fishermen were brought to Gabriela Silang General Hospital in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
