Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet will guest-star on an episode of American Horror Story, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The upcoming FX series, starring Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, is about a family who moves into a haunted house. Stonestreet will play a patient that sees Dr. Ben Harmon (McDermott) because of his fear of urban legends.

Stonestreet has worked with show creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk before: He played a Death Row inmate on Nip/Tuck.

American Horror Story premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c on FX.
