When it comes to dog friendly eateries in Sonoma County, few can match the welcome mat put out by Howard?s Station Cafe in Occidental.
Dogs allowed to hang out at the tables outside on the porch while their humans can chow on pancakes, smoothies and egg scrambles. But get this, dogs get their own menu! The menu contains items like a peanut butter stuffed Kong toy, bowls of kibble and dog biscuits.
Well mannered pets are welcome as long as they follow some rules, like no jumping on the tables and staying with their people.
USA Today is out with its ranking of most pet friendly hotels in the United States.
Two of the ten are operated by San Francisco-based KImpton hotels. The hotels are the Hotel Monaco in Portland, Ore., and Palomar Washington D.C. One bonus: Kimpton hotels don?t charge an extra pet fee. Another: Kimpton hotels are also prepared to accept cats and other types of pets.
